Saturday 02nd April 2016Cartasia 2016: Biennial of Contemporary Paper Art
My works are selected for this year’s juried competition indoor exhibition that features 'the best creative artists of a new and rapidly evolving avant-garde art, i.e. paper art. The exhibition will be hosted in the Duke’s Palace, i.e. a 14th century building where the juxtaposition between the past and the present perfectly enhances any art experience.' During the Biennial Exhibition visitors are captured by the peculiar working technique with which paper is worked, and this for any work of art on display. Experts in the field are going to be invited for the exhibition: art gallerists, collectors, critics. To this end, the organizational committee works every year to display indoor exhibitions in national and international museums, market shows and art exhibitions. http://www.effe.eu/festival/cartasia-international-paper-biennale

Wednesday 18th March 2015Upcoming: exhibitions in NYC & Gorcums Museum
From March 26 – April 11 2015 Hans Meertens' art will be on view at MZ Urban Art: the new gallery of Monkdogz Urban Art Inc. It is located at Chelsea 27, the new home of three art galleries owned by Marina Hadley, Christine Jeanquier and Latifa Metheny at 617 West 27th Street, New York, NY 10001. 2 mei t/m 6 september 2015: mijn nieuwste werken in de expositie 'Papier in de Hoofdrol' in het Gorcums Museum:

'After more than 20 active years in the art business gallery Molenaars is closing its doors in style with this final exhibition. Hans Meertens will present his new collage based series of works about stardom, death and transitoriness. Showing considerable flexibility and experimentation in materials, colors, style and theme, S*T*A*R*D*U*S*T features the work of an artist who brings us -evocative, glamorous and moving- images of thought-provoking and emotive glory.'
'Drs.
