Gallereo Exhibitions, run by Newcastle-based M.A. Emma McMillan, will represent Hans Meertens at this year's Manchester Buy Art Fair. Now entering its fourth year, Manchester’s leading art buying event will return to the Spinningfields from 27 to 30 October 2011.
Sponsored by Spinningfields and supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council funding, the weekend-long event will host 60 galleries from across the UK which will exhibit works from over 300 artists. In 2010, Buy Art Fair welcomed 5,500 art lovers, collectors, curators and first-time buyers, each keen to see the latest works in contemporary and classic paintings, sculptures and mixed media pieces.
As well as presenting an inspiring collection of art, Buy Art Fair along with its sister event, The Manchester Contemporary, offers informative talks by prominent figures from the art world giving visitors an insight into starting and developing an art collection.
